John Iadarola hosting from YouTube Space LA. Senator Ted Cruz “filibusters” the United States Senate for approximately 21 hours regarding the Affordable Care Act. His rant included a reading of Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs and Ham. Senator McCasskill pointed out the irony of Cruz’s reading given the adventurous message of Dr. Seuss’ book. Cruz’s speech also included a misguided and silly allusion to Star Wars. John reads #TYTLive tweets.  Senator Dick Durbin points out Cruz’s hypocrisy in that the U.S. Senate enjoys one of the best healthcare plans in the country. The Affordable Care Act is a market based solution to the healthcare dilemma and will most likely create disparate coverage. Ted Cruz’s extremely long speech in the U.S. Senate is compared to Wendy Davis’ real filibuster in the Texas state legislature earlier this year. Many conservatives spoke out against Senator Cruz’s antics, including Senator John McCain. Senator Lindsey Graham ties Hillary Clinton to the Affordable Care Act in his speculation that she has presidential aspirations for 2016 and is relying on its success in the perception of the electorate. John reads more #TYTLive tweets. The Congressional Budget Office’s estimate of the Affordable Care Act is in. It turns out that implementation of the ACA will cost even less than previous estimates. Secretary of State John Kerry signed the United Nations’ Arms Trade Treaty which will now go before the U.S. Senate for approval. The NRA is opposed to the measure.

New Jersey has criminalized the posting of revenge porn on the internet. Other states, including California, are considering similar legislation. Is enforcement of these laws realistic? The opposite is true of millionaire women. John reads #TYTLive tweets. The army is  considering the implementation of a partial ban on tattoos. Tattoos would have to be approved by superior officers and would have to meet certain guidelines. A new study posits that people tend to “double down” in defense of a position in response to trolls’ comments on a website.
