The Young Turks: May 11, 2015

Cenk hosting today. Mike Huckabee is answering questions about his latest infomercial scheme, pushing diabetes remedies through a company that paid him for his endorsement. Videos of him explaining on Face the Nation. Video of his infomercial appearance. Huckabee’s previous scam in pushing cancer remedies based on Bible verses. Videos of Jeb Bush telling Fox News that he would go into Iraq again, but also pointed out that Hillary would, too. Jeb went on to say that George W. in retrospect, also believes that the security plan allowed Iraq to explode further, claiming that there is no room for disagreement between him and W. Cenk remembers some of George W. Bush’s insane reasons to invade Iraq, based on God telling him to do so. Records revealed that Gov Christie expensed over $300K on food and drinks, with over $80K going to MetLife Stadium’s concessions in one year. He also spent over $76K on Wegman’s grocery store. The NJ GOP State Committee reimbursed the $82K in order to avoid this turning into a scandal. Steve King and Peter King both approached the police brutality stories, specifically Baltimore from left field. Video of Steve King blaming Obama for pushing wedge issues in America, with the latest being between police and criminals. He went on to say that Obama drove the culture of Ferguson, which led to the unrest in Baltimore. Video of Peter King blindly siding with Baltimore cops, calling the killings a handful of cases that turned out to be untrue. Video of King and Megyn Kelly criticizing Loretta Lynch for launching an investigation into Baltimore cops when an NYPD officer was being laid to rest. Glenn Greenwald story about the Canadian government’s plan to make it illegal through hate crime laws for advocacy groups to encourage boycotts of Israel. ESPN’s Bill Simmons is out after his blistering articles and opinions about the NFL’s response to the domestic violence stories. On Simmons’ podcast, he called Roger Goodell a liar about the Ray Rice tape. Cenk talks about how no matter how popular and valuable one commentator is for a huge corporation like ESPN, they are not big enough to offend the larger establishment, which includes the NFL. Ana joins Cenk for SCS. George Zimmerman has been injured in another road rage incident where the other driver shot at GZ, shattering his window. A Vermont State Senator has been arrested for sexual assault and also solicited sex with housing tenants in place of rent. Cenk wonders, since TYT is in favor of legal prostitution, if it's wrong for a landlord to ask for sex to be given in place of rent. Ana vehemently disagrees with this being legitimate. Some politicians and lobbyists are offering constituents to pay thousands of dollars to go to Taylor Swift concerts with them. Morgan Freeman opened up about his change of opinion about marijuana legalization after he tried it for his ailments...and loves it. A principal at a school in Georgia lost her cool during a graduation ceremony after she forgot to allow the Valedictorian to speak, and people were walking out. Video, where she claimed that all the Black people were leaving. In her apology, she claimed that “the devil” was in the room and came out of her mouth. In response to the fallout, her son posted that “Yall niggas aint talking about shit” before telling people to come to his house if they don’t like it. A NJ couple stalked a coach that benched their son. They heckled him via email at with letters to his home. Ana doesn’t think this crosses the line to stalking. The owner of a restaurant called Rubbin Buttz is celebrating White History Month in order to lessen the need for Black History Month. Cenk is torn on this, since the owner is Latino, not White.
