Cenk hosting. Another airplane is missing from Air Asia, based out of Malaysia. Although this accident will most likely scare people out of flying, a chart shows that airplane crashes are always going down as last year there were only 265 casualties out of 31 million flights. There were 1.24 million deaths via car accidents. Despite these numbers, some cable news stations speculated and seemingly fed off of people’s fears. Video of Fox News host Anna Kooiman wondered if there were communications problems since they use the metric system vs what we use. Video of CNN discussing why there is a small chance that this flight disappearance was due to terrorism. At the funeral for the NYPD officer that was shot to death, the police force turned their backs to mayor De Blasio when he spoke. Video of the head of the police union dodging questions about the political move they pulled by asking for politics to be discussed the next day. Cenk points out how de Blasio shut down Stop & Frisk and that there are contract negotiations that are fueling the fire against the mayor. Video of Giuliani claiming that the NYPD shouldn’t have turned their backs, but that de Blasio should apologize to them. More on the NYPD Union head Patrick Lynch that dodged questions about the shunning at the officer’s funeral. Cenk exposes his history of opposing police commissioners, mayors, and New Yorkers’ interests. He also defended the violent cop that targeted and shoulder checked a bicyclist in a parade of bikers. Video of President Obama telling soldiers at a Hawaii base that the 13 year old Afghanistan war is over and that we are safer due to this war. Leaked NATO Death Lists in Afghanistan show that they went after low level enemies that many times killed or badly injured innocent people, including children. Chuck Todd accidentally admitted to comedians on Meet the Press that the reason major news anchors can’t conduct tough interviews because they wouldn’t have another interview; that the politicians won’t come on anymore. Video of this admission and W. Kamau Bell responding by pointing out that Fox News can bark.

Ana joins Cenk for SCS. A military couple’s wedding was moved since the President’s golf game took over their venue. Cenk could just see Fox News heads exploding upon hearing this news. Although Obama had to turn down the invitation to come, he did call and had a nice conversation with the bride. Neil DeGrasse Tyson annoyed a lot of Christians with anti-Christian tweets on Christmas. After the film The Interview was digitally released on Christmas day, it has made millions of dollars. The Facebook Year in Review has caused some pain to one man, as it included a picture of his daughter that died this year. He wrote about it and complained of the pain it caused. Cenk talks about how much he loved the automated review of his year, not thinking about this depressing angle. An ex pastor tried living his life for a year as an Atheist to see what it was all about, and has decided to become an Atheist. Charles Koch is concerned with the justice system and wants to spend money on altering it after he was facing tons of charges for environmental crimes. After getting rid of all of them, he claims to care about all the “little guys” that don’t have the resources to fight charges like these. Although same sex couples in Florida are able to get married starting Jan 6, many court clerks are refusing to cooperate and do their jobs to give them.
