The Young Turks: September 08, 2014

Ana joins Cenk for SCS.  New surveillance video has come to light of Ray Rice’s assault of his then girlfriend Janay Palmer in an elevator.  Now that this has circulated all day, Rice has been released from the Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the league.  Fox & Friends covered the newly released footage with foolery and stupidity.  After this story, Ana compares this to TYT’s coverage of a man in Mumbai that asked for a divorce from his wife that always wanted sex and forced him into it.  Andrea Tantaros decided to blame President Obama for the Ray Rice, Janay Palmer issue. After two men were exonerated of a rape and murder of a young girl 30 years ago, the prosecutor that put them away has no remorse for his part in ruining their lives, and is actually doubling down on his actions.  Drew Carey is offering $10K as a reward to the person that can lead authorities to the guys that poured feces, urine, spit, & cigarette butts on the head of an autistic kid that wanted to participate in the ice bucket challenge.  Reddit has banned the thread that included the leaked photos of nude female celebrities.  A new study showed a correlation between handsome men and low quality sperm.  Ana asks Cenk if he would choose to be handsome with slow sperm, or not so handsome and able to have kids. Cenk hosting.  Obama announced that he will reveal his 3 year plan on how to address ISIS on Wednesday, but submitted his outline today.  He spoke about the plan while on Meet the Press with Chuck Todd.  Cenk points out that right or wrong, we’re attacking them first; that they had no direct aggression on the U.S. before we moved.  Video shows Peggy Noonan simplifying her calls for bombing of ISIS, claiming we can just go, “boom boom boom.”  Videos of John McCain and Bill Kristol simplifying their desire for bombing ISIS is also shown.  A couple of applicants for “Liar Loans” through some of the top banks utilized the same defense that the banks made to deter blame when they fraudulently submitted loans and destroyed the economy.  With this defense, a jury completely exonerated them. Atlanta Hawks majority owner Bruce Levenson revealed a racialist email he wrote to team executives about ways to lower the number of Black fans in the arena since they were running away White fans and ticket sales.  He went on to say he disagreed with southern Whites’ fear of Black fans, but that he still wanted to cater to them.  Cenk, Jayar, and Jesus decide whether or not he’s racist. Ben Stein on Newsmax claims that Michael Brown was armed, with his big, strong, scary self.  He also included Trayvon Martin as another big, strong, scary Black man that attacks policemen and winds up dead.  Stein wrapped it up by remembering when Blacks were lynched, but now, the police are lynched, which is horrible. Progressive Petition to see who our audience thinks should run for president on the Democratic side against Hillary Clinton. Show notes by Jayar Jackson
