Ira Goldman, the inventor of the knee defender, makes an appearance on MSNBC and defends his invention from the criticism and the report of a recent landing of a flight that was caused by the knee defender. An Ebola virus update  from The Huffington Post notes the spending of $489 million dollars over the next nine months.  750 international health workers and 12,000 national workers will also be deployed to curb the virus. The sister of the Tsarnaev brothers, the men responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing , recently made bomb threats towards other people. A video emerges of CEO Des Hague of Centerpile kicking an innocent dog in an elevator. He later issued an apology and will attend anger management counseling. A study out of the University of Maine on the positive effects of pot legalization shows a 20% decrease of heroin, oxycontin, and morphine overdoses in the states that have legalized marijuana. The mayor of Valladolid Spain, Francisco Javier Leon de la Riva, recently made comments about women faking rape in order to retaliate against men. He issued an apology saying that his quotes were out of context and will “offer an apology”. A beach in France is issuing a selfie ban in order for beach goers not to be annoyed by selfies. Johnny Pie & Michael Sure hosting HR1 today. Putin is on the move as John and Michael update the situation in the Ukraine. Tanks move in to Novoazovsk and the town of Donetsk was shelled. Chris Christie is in Illinois and is pissed off over same-day voter registration in the state and thinks that same-day registration is a Democratic trick, but most of the 11 states with same-day voter registration laws currently have Republican governors. The Koch Brothers, along with the company Themis, are sharing data and contact information to gain access for potential voters for the RNC. The GOP are constantly misquoting the Founding Fathers. A video mash-up of Sarah Palin, Chris Christie, and other conservatives is played. John and Michael break it down and show the actual quotes. Governor Rick Perry of Texas is raking in some extra cash with the sale of his mugshot on t-shirts. His approval ratings are going up in the Buckeye state.The NRA sends out tweets about kids having “fun at the shooting range”. The video of a nine year old girl shooting an uzi and accidentally shooting the instructor who was teaching her at a gun range in Arizona is played again. The notion that the occupation of policeman being “a dangerous job” is examined. John gives out the data on the job fatalities of police officers. Michael Shure shares a video of another black citizen, this time being harassed by St. Paul, MN police.
